I'm sure residual memory of the One Piece Baseball and Soccer specials is responsible for the dream I had last night:

The Bleach Hockey Special.

The final battle between the Soul Society and the protagonists, with Rukia's life as the stakes... is a hockey game. And yes, the Soul Reapers use their zanpakutō as hockey sticks. With appropriately-timed dramatic reveals of shikai and bankai. And Byakuya Kuchiki as the the badass goal-scoring player from the other team...

I have such a weird brain.

I wandered back into the break room to nuke a microwave dinner for my thrilling and exciting food during my overnight shift. While there, I managed to catch three minutes of InuYasha and five of Full Metal Alchemist on Cartoon Network.

And now I really, really want to watch anime again.

I pretty much gave up watching new anime when Revolutionary Girl Utena came out with its last episodes on DVD. After that, there were really few other things I wanted to acquire except DBZ, and I just plain didn't have the money to get more DBZ. Since then, I haven't had the money to get much of ANYthing, which is the biggest obstacle keeping me from watching any new anime.

But now it's years later and I have a huge number of series that I've been reading and would like to watch. So far it's been easy to ignore the existence of the anime -- but then I had to go and see it! Damn and double damn!

Now I'm just bitter and cranky.

Wait, no, I know what I need to say.

What the hell did Japan do to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Super Mutation? They're a freakin' Sentain now?!

Daaku Devir Shredder? (Dark Devil Shredder, for those of you who aren't good at translating.) Metal Mutation?

CRACK I tell you. So wrong. But it amuses me anyway...

Also, between Captain SNES and the Chrono Trigger OVA, I will never look at Gato the same way again.

Woke up from a rather strange dream today. I was Yugi, entering a combination Duel Monsters tournament / baking competition. But Kaiba, the judge, refused to let me enter my -- I think it was a cobbler, because the way we baked on my home island wasn't acceptable to him! Determined, I vowed to modify my entry to meet his standards, and after somehow getting the requirements spent the next three hours modifying the recipe. But... it all failed horribly, and to top it off the dream blurred the lines of reality and fantasy enough so that midway through I discovered my sister was leaving my books out in the woods.

All in all, that was a really rotten way to wake up.

Well, we finished Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Lots to say, but not much to say it with.

I'm feeling good, when I'm not feeling bad. I'm erratic. I need something, but I don't know what it is. I suck!

I will say, though, that the people I associate with make me feel loved, trusted, and all-around special. And this is a good thing.

Speaking of people I associate with, cyfis got me introduced to new anime. Soul Hunters and Wolf's Rain. Gotta see more... gotta see more... ::drool::

Enough rambling from me. I'm off to another 9 hour day at work. Ugh.

I've been watching too much Cartoon Network. My urge to scream incoherently while powering up now has serious competition from my urge to scream "YU-GI-OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" and switch into an alternate ass-kicking personality.

Clearly, Dragon Ball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh! must be combined.

tigerphoenix and I went to see Lord of the Rings yesterday. Thanks to calling in reservations we got posh, over-sized, super-comfy chairs. Of course, we were still a bit achey by the end of the three-hour movie, but it was more than worth it.

What a sweet movie. Gollum... damn.

Picked up the special edition of Fellowship, the special edition of Beauty and the Beast (yes, really), and the Black Rose Utena DVD. (Hey girls, got something to watch when you guys get back!) Also managed to get my hands on Tale of Destiny, which I've been looking for forever.

I'm so happy to spend time with my tigerphoenix!

Last night I dreamed that I was playing Vash in a live-action Trigun. But then it degenerated into a Final Fantasy-style dungeon crawl. I may have been playing too much FFX lately.

Tomorrow I have an interview at a place which runs group homes for the mentally retarded. Quite frankly, the pay's not that great, but if I don't find anything else soon, it's what I'll be doing. Related to that, I need to get to work and send out another flurry of resumes.

Busy, busy.
