Half my shipment of Transformers came in. Amazingly, Galvatron's battery still has juice in it. This is a 9-volt that's been in storage for eight years, remember. More amazingly, only one casualty. This is *so* cool.

On the downside, a lot of frustrations and angst to deal with. On the upside, chocolate marshmallow ice cream.

So now I have the day ahead of me and I don't know what to do, except worry about tigerphoenix and sit. This situation is starting to grate on me; I'm too far away from the people I care about. Well, patience is necessary. I don't regret what I've done, and I have to remember I'm still doing more or less okay for myself.

Off to worry and amuse myself. Or try.

Heck of a night tonight.

One of the best roleplaying scenese I've had in a heck of a while (credit: lanthanum) was quickly shot down by the fact that apparently I've been attacking a fellow RPer for playing his character. Never mind that it was all IC; never mind I thought it was all in good humor; never mind valkonan is, admittedly, an ass, but that's all entirely IC. Pick up your toys and go home, and never mind who (crystalhealer) suffers because of it, hmm?

Sidenotes: rachaelwynter, if you keep blaming yourself I will send tigerphoenix over there to bludgeon you. And lanthanum, be okay? tigerphoenix and I will think good thoughts in your direction, at least until she gets on tomorrow to play.

Now my other scene is interrupted by the Punt of DOOM (current time: one hour, forty-five minutes -- I don't think she's coming back!) thus leaving me in limbo. Argh.

So here I sit, lonely, at least for a little while longer, bored, and tired. My arm is hurting because I've been mousing too much. I need a proper mousepad. I need a proper phone. I need a lot of things.

Say, jameel, you're only the second male on my friends list -- and the only one I didn't find totally at random. I wonder what this says about me as a person.

Answer: I like girls.

SYDNEY (May 21) - Australia's fairy penguins are all set for winter and any oil spills after 1,000 tiny woolly jerseys were specially knitted and sent from as far away as Japan to the Australian island state of Tasmania.

The jerseys, which cover the 15-inch tall penguins from neck to ankle, stop oil-coated penguins from preening themselves and ingesting poisonous oil.

And for the fashion-conscious penguin there is a wide choice of colors and designs, even a black and white tuxedo number, complete with bow tie.

The Tasmanian Conservation Trust made a local appeal earlier this year for the penguin jerseys after oil spills on the coast of Tasmania, not realizing they would be inundated.

''They have come from everywhere, even as far away as Japan. Someone in New York asked for a pattern, but we haven't received it yet,'' Jo Castle, a spokeswoman for the Trust said on Monday.

The pattern is based on one used for penguins in the northern hemisphere, only smaller. ''It was redesigned for the little penguins in the southern hemisphere,'' said Castle.

''They (the penguins) are not very happy about them, but they cover them from neck to ankle which stops them preening themselves and ingesting poisonous oil,'' she said.

Castle said knitters, many old ladies in nursing homes, made jerseys in their favorite football team colors, used scraps of wool to make patchwork tops, and some knitted woolly tuxedos in keeping with a penguin's natural colors.

So today I went out to see the Building Virtual Worlds exhibition. Building Virtual Worlds is a class here. It's just what it sounds like -- virtual reality.

A friend I've mentioned here a few times before had some work in it. It was exceptional (if disturbing and twisted, as it should be...).
