On the way out to pick up my burrito today, I was accosted on the streetcorner and questioned as to whether or not I went to church. Wearily, I acknowledged that I did not, as I waited for the light to change. The gentleman in question insisted that I really ought to read a book entitled "The Divine Revelation of Heaven."
Doing a quick search on it now and coming up with what appears to be the entire book, I note particularly the description: "After thirty nights of experiencing the depths of hell, Mary Baxter was shown the realms of heaven. Included are her descriptions of the order of heaven, what happens to children, and the throne of God. These breathtaking glimpses of heaven will turn your heart toward the beauty and joy that await every believer in Christ."
Frankly, the guy who promoted it to me had a better sales pitch, which amounted to "she saw a thirteen-foot tall angel in heaven!" Aside from the many, many questions that raises, it makes good copy. I kind of have to question his claim that it isn't a preachy book, though. I can confirm it's terribly-written, though... and that heaven isn't really all that great if angels constantly stop you to preach to you when you already got in.
