If there's one career I totally would have jumped on, and even regret not pursuing just a little these days, it would be the study and science of geysers.

Because geyser are pure awesome. Seriously: numerous geothermal and geological coincidence combine to produce hundreds of natural fountains that hurl water hundreds of feet into the air. Add in that these are geological features which not only evolve on a human scale, but do so *quickly*, at times literally overnight.

I've been feeling extremely nostalgic over my childhood trips to Yellowstone, obviously. Maybe I'll convince [livejournal.com profile] tigerphoenix that we should retire up in that area someday.

You assume you'd HAVE to convince me. :D

No everyone needs to retire in Florida so we can all finally be obnoxious and loud and family like together. And old and creaky :(

But I'd miss the snow...

At least until some douchebag who couldn't drive got ahead of me in it, or the kids got yet another snow day, or something. But I'd miss it for a LITTLE bit.

The kids would be grown up by then! And we'd have, like, snowmobiles, and live in places that were prepared for snow. :)
