I wrote a long letter to my credit card company today, which will be going in the mailbox as soon as I get home.

The upshot of it is:

"You guys screwed up. Here's how. Give me my money back. Tell me why you didn't the first time I asked. Then either pay me for every damn thing you took from me or kept me from getting, or give me the whole damn $900."

I was much more polite and elborate than that, of course.

Step two, then, is to get the actual credit union involved. I'll do this tomorrow, I have a contact person for that. Step three is to call the customer service line again and make the same demands over the phone as I did in writing.

They'll pay for what they've done, through their nose if I can make them.

If anything works, it'll be getting the CU involved. The card company can ignore me, but not the CU.

Yeah, if they ignore you, you could always take your business elsewhere. Not good for business.
