I had SUCH a weird dream last night.
Seventh year, last few weeks of school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and tension is high. Voldemort is stalking the school, invisible! Everyone knows he's there but no one can see him. Harry Potter (whose position I was alternately in, and observing from an omniscient viewpoint) has a new mentor, an Akashic Brother named Ken. (... and it only gets weirder from here, folks.) Ken knew that no matter how perfect the spell was there would be a telltale sign, some tiny indication would remain of his presence, and he studied diligently and encouraged Harry to do the same.
Several tension-filled scenes pass. These were actually pretty tense scenes, in which the characters had a constant feeling of Voldemort lurking the halls, watching them but never detectable.
Then one day, Harry, outside (in a surprisingly suburban environment), spies Voldemort on a hill. Evidently the power of his invisibility spell came from wearing an Organization XIII cloak with the hood up. Realizing this, and that he can use the same spell because of their connection, Harry obtains an Organization XIII cloak of his own and practices the same spell in a car for hours on end.
Invisible Voldemort, meanwhile, sneaks into Ken's room and pulls down his hood, revealing himself to look like a fusion of Sephiroth and Xehanort/Xemnas. He catches Ken completely off-guard by firing a Prime bolt in his open mouth. Somehow, Ken survives, but obviously is in no condiition to continue studying the secrets of the invisibility spell.
Graduation day comes. Voldemort appears on the graduation stage to take tyrannical control of the school. Harry has trouble with his spell, even after remembering to put the hood up, but after talking to Girl Simultaneously Representing Kairi and Hermione, manages to sneak onto the stage and confront Voldemort.
The dream was very confused on what exactly happened in the climactic battle, right up to the point where Voldemort is simultaneously crushed and eaten by a giant lizard.
The scene shifts to the Hogwarts Express traveling home, where the Order of the Phoenix is celebrating Voldemort's defeat and Sirius Black has just been promoted to professor of Defense of the Dark Arts.
Abruptly the scene shifts to me, as I leave a movie theater with severaL (faceless, nameless) friends. One of the comment that the movie left out a lot that was in the book. "Yeah," I said, "they didn't say how Sirius came back to life!"
And then I woke up.
It sounds silly, and it was, but it was a pretty awesome dream.
