A storm system just whipped over, lasting JUST long enough to soak my subwoofer into nonfunctionality. A ten minute storm, comprised entirely of minutes I was out of the house and unable to shut the window.

So there's three hundred bucks down the tubes, plus I can't play a damn thing any more without sound.

This is what I get for trying, for not throwing myself off a cliff or something. I keep forgetting that the price of living is punishment.

Holy snow day, Batman!

Snow, dude, snow. And lots of it.

I have to give my boss credit, she moved me to work at a site that I can walk to, rather than have to drive my crappyass Altima over the river and into a wall on the way to my normal site. It's a bit inconvenient for me, but it keeps me alive, and frankly I prefer that to the alternative.

Yawn. Zoooombie...

I actually woke up feeling good today. Except now I'm feeling bitter and old because I got so cynical about it almost immediately: "Why am I feeling good?! When will it stop?! What's going to happen to me?!"

And it's light out, which after the rain of yesterday is amazing. I felt like I was livin' in the frickin' Dragaeran Empire for a while. (10,000,000 bonus points to anyone who understands that reference in its entirety.)

Monster Rancher 4 is great.

Bwargh.

Let me first say this: I love snow. I absolutely adore snow. I was born in Salt Lake City, which gets its fair share of snow. I've always loved it.

It's a good thing, because we got, like, six inches of it.

I got up at 6:00 today (after going to sleep at, oh, one?) to about half that. I tromped through Schenley Park (a mile's walk? Maybe?) to get to CMU to catch a bus, then rode it downtown to catch another bus.. which was forty minutes late. Then, more tromping through the snow to get at my employment's main office -- an hour after I was supposed to be there.

Fortunately, it was a training class, and not only had no one showed up, but the instructor didn't get there for another hour and a half or so.

Training lasted forever, and getting back was terrible. Still, I got $10 worth of Wendy's coupons from it ($6 already well-spent, yum), and now I'm back home. Tomorrow is my day off, so I can sleep in -- and then off to run Mage.

But man, am I dragging right now.

Well, THAT sucked

Huge storm hit last night around seven or so. HUGE storm. Pouring rain, house-shaking wind -- and tree-tipping-over wrath.

What this translates to, in terms of suck, is several wiped-out power lines -- which means I've been sitting in the dark, or sleeping out of sheer boredom, for the past seven hours. Argh.

Well. I hope tomorrow turns out better.

It's hot.

But it's also shorts weather. And remember, I'm on a college campus.

Life is gooooooood.

Argh! Weather!

It's HOT. It hit over eighty degrees on Saturday.

My room has pretty much no circulation. Right now it's over eighty degrees in here. This is pretty much a constant throughout the summer.

I should pause to note that I hate heat. I can't stand heat. Anything over 70 makes me a very unhappy dragon. Anyone want some of this heat?

On the plus side... girls wearing shorts. :)
