We attacked Civilizaton the board game last night for a few hours, and made it all the way to the medieval era. It basically turned into a massive war between the Americas and the rest of the world, which only played out for a couple of turns before we had to call it a night. It was fun. I'd love to get a full game of it going sometime, but the time involved is just massive.
Speaking of really long games, I really need to pick up the OOTS game.
Our cat is still on antibiotics, and I've been on the job of giving it to him this week. I tried the "hold him down, put it in his mouth, and make him swallow" technique, but I couldn't get him to open his mouth. Then I tried hiding it in his wet cat food, which worked once, but after that he seemed to lose interest in said cat food.
Then I discovered that if I put it in my hand with some dry cat food and offer it to him, he'll take it.
He's such a good cat.

Personally, I hated it with a flaming passion. Caveat: I don't like cooperative-competitive games, games where you have to cooperate with others to succeed and yet must also screw each other over to win. I nearly walked out on an Order of the Stick game because no one would support me in battle, and so I was just screwed.
I know that reaction isn't good gamesmanship -- but I just won't play that game anymore.
