Running tally of today:
Woke up to discover that with the hot water heater out of commission, the shower does not function at all. Lacking time to take a bath, I did what cleaning I could, and resigned myself to wallowing in my own filth for the rest of the day. (I'm not really that bad, but I sure *feel* bad.)
Had to drive myself in today. I knew this would happen, but... I specifically, deliberately put my sunglasses where they would be immediately locatable. Not only were they not there this morning, but they weren't even anywhere NEAR there. They may have simply vanished.
Not three minutes on the road, some stupid bitch decides to run me off the road rather than allowing me to merge as is required by every law and concept of common courtesy. I am unsurprised by this.
My metro was delayed about fifteen minutes because someone had to get sick on a train ahead of me, which cripples literally the entire network.
I got in to work to discover that the lights above my desk have developed a nasty flicker that is making my whole workspace seem to shake, and is already giving me the beginnings of a headache.
Yes, I AM so petty, cynical, and bitter that I will turn this LJ into a description of every single thing that goes wrong for me, at least until something goes right. It's an exercise, see: when WILL something go right again?
