Every time I get talked into joining this or that social media site because everyone else is using it and refuses to communicate with people, i.e. me, because they are not on this site... some other new site shows up that everyone is using and I'm not on.

While it would be irrational to believe that this is occurring specifically so people can avoid me, I do start to think that's a fortunate side-effect.

hmph. YOUR friends don't tell you that they've been deliberately avoiding you. YOUR friends still talk to you. Well, at least the ones you've talked to in the past few years.
